Angled Wood
Not too many people are aware that hardwood floors can be installed at any angle. A 45-degree angle is a great way to go as it’s unique, interesting and very pleasing to the eyes. It’s an optical illusion that can open up narrow spaces and make small rooms appear bigger.

Cork is a great fatigue mat due to the natural characteristics of cork. For a workplace like a kitchen, it’s soft under foot, forgiving if you drop something (unlike ceramic tile) and is naturally warmer in our cold Wisconsin winters. Properly harvested, cork recycles itself in 12 years, a great renewable material. Our cork is from Portugal, and cork from Spain and Portugal is noted for it’s higher density and longer life. All of our corks have a water-based Urethane wear-layer, so they are safe and easy to maintain. The hard surface makes it easier to clean with a dust mop, and even though it is a porous material, the finish prevents pockets where allergens can collect.

Mixed Width
Mixed widths are a cool design trend that will surely make a unique statement and lasting impression. Historically, hardwood lumber was always cut from the log into various widths. Our ancestors built their homes out of these uneven width planks and it’s now back in vogue! People are easily recreating this vintage look and making it modern

For a unique twist on standard hardwood, create a hip, classic, stylish look with herringbone wood flooring. This elegant pattern differs from chevron flooring in that the planks look slightly staggered, rather than meeting in perfect points.

When done right, bamboo is a floor you can be proud of and will deliver long lasting beauty and satisfaction. Bamboo has been used as an alternative for flooring because of its physical similarities to true hardwoods. It’s known for its strength, durability, eco-friendliness and natural resistance to insects and moisture. Bamboo is also an awesome choice for anyone with allergies. It offers the same hard surface that protects from mites making a home in your floor, as well as being waterproof to help with the mold and mildew.
